Taxonomy Specialist
Functional Responsibility
Taxonomy Specailsits develop taxonomic structures aligned to the product / service needs of a client’s product.
A Taxonomy Specialist:
- Designs supporting operational processes to maintain taxonomies.
- Integrates and augments industry leading/standard taxonomies (e.g. NIC, NAIC) into a common taxonomy for the appropriate client.
- Aligns taxonomy efforts with lexicon efforts.
- Translates functional models into technical structures. Being able to help the work of translating the logical taxonomy into specific data models.
- Communicates effectively to technical design and development teams and support their efforts in creating date models.
- Level 3: Possess at least 20 years of relevant business experience.
- Level 2: Possess at least 15 years of relevant business experience.
- Level 1: Possess at least 10 years of relevant business experience.
MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Library Science. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical area.
